New York Giants KickOff “NBC Sunday Night Football” In The First Ever in NFL History Manning VS. Manning Match-Up

SUNDAY, SEPT. 10 - NFL Week One

Sunday "Football Night in America" game on Sept. 10 features the long-anticipated first meeting of sibling quarterbacks as Eli Manning and the New York Giants host Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants (Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.)

A NFL first brothers will square off as rival quarterbacks when Eli Manning and big brother Peyton and the Colts. Eli Manning led the Giants to the NFC East Championship last season while Peyton Manning led the Colts to the AFC South title.

Eli is in his third year as quarterback of the New York Giants, Peyton in his ninth year as quarterback for the perennial Super Bowl-contending Indianapolis Colts. The Giants are scheduled to host the Colts that evening in a classic case of brother-against-brother, and the statistics that will compare the two will be seen in the national Television. As far as Eli is concerned, all he can remember from last years NFL season is leading the Giants to a playoff berth in just his second season. For Peyton, he seeks redemption from a disappointing playoff loss to the Steelers.

The pressure of brother vs. brother may weigh most heavily on Eli, however. The Giants start the season with a killer schedule. In addition to hosting the Colts to kickoff the season, the Giants travel to Philadelphia the following week and Seattle the next week, facing the last two NFC champions in a row.

Payton Manning still has not taken his team to the Super Bowl, but the Colts are always near the top of the league. Last season, they started out a remarkable 14-0 before the untimely suicide of head coach Tony Dungy's son.

Either Way this will be one of the most exciting Games this 2006 NFL season and this will be NFL history in the making as these both of these teams are out to win their division this Year.

Dallas Cowboys 2007 Football Season Is Going To Be a long One

Terrell Owens time on the bike has tested the patience of the Dallas Cowbays and team coach Bill Parcells.

Cowboys coach Bill Parcells requested wide receiver Terrell Owens back on the field, practicing with the rest of the team, no questions asked, without anybody standing up to him or sitting on a bike in a Team Discovery outfit to insult him.

Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens hasn't even stepped on to the field yet this summer, not even for a single play and already he has created more headlines than any player in football and it looks like it's going to extend into the regular season. Owens hasn’t played in any of the games because of a hamstring injury, which also has kept him out of 19 of 31 practices since the start of training camp. Owens has been a good receiver. But he is often over praised. He has not led a team to the Super Bowl victory. He does not own NFL records. You can’t put him up there with Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice.

Terrell Owens has now took it too far, drawing a $9,500 fine for missing a team meeting and a rehabilitation session and being late to an offensive meetings. Owens’ past is filled with run-ins with quarterbacks, coaches and others in his own organization. Most would think T.O. would be on his best behavior this season, thankful for the contract the Cowboys awarded him, but Terrell Owens has learned nothing from his experience in Philadelphia and still seems to think he is more important than his team. My Guess, Owens will never get it, because he doesn’t think he is doing anything wrong.

Sports bettors betting on US FIBA Team to take home the GOLD

With the 2006 FIBA World Basketball Championship starting last weekend, the entire sports world wants to see if Team USA can return to basketball dominance and rebound from a disappointing bronze medal finish at the 2004 Summer Games. ESPN2 will offer televising three exhibition matchups and each of the USA's games in the 2006 FIBA World Championship.

Coach K appears to have gotten his message across and the young superstars led by LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwayne Wade have bought into the game plan and embraced the team-first philosophy.

Today started the fourth day of sports betting excitement at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, The U.S. opened the tournament with victories against Puerto Rico and The USA basketball team defeated China 121-90. Today The United States thrashed Slovenia 95-114 despite 18 points from Sani Becirovic of Panathinaikos, Utilizing a ball hawking defense that forced 25 turnovers and an explosive offense that scored points in bunches, the USA (3-0) paced by Dwyane Wade's 20 points, LeBron James' 19 points and 16 more from Elton Brand, kept rolling in World Championship preliminary play posting a strong victory over Slovenia. The win was the USA's third straight and insures the Americans of advancing to the round of 16 teams (Eighth-Finals). The odds on Team USA winning gold have shortened as sports bettors continue to back the lineup of NBA stars. Skytower Sportsbook lists the team as overwhelming 4/11 favorites to win the 2006 World Basketball Championship.

The U.S. will now face Italy and Senegal in group play before advancing to the single-elimination quarter-finals this weekend in Saitama, outside Tokyo. Will the US basketball team take it all the way and show the world the talent American basketball really has or will they fall short like they did in 2004. I know my 2006 FIBA sports bet is going to go on USA to take it all the way before the odds down any more.

Air Date Air Time Game Wednesday, August 23 6:30 a.m. (EDT) USA vs. Italy Thursday, August 24 6:30 a.m. (EDT) USA vs. Senegal

Dallas vs. New Orleans monday night football

After the first week's opening preaseanon NFL game, Tennessee claimed their first 2006 victory on last Saturday, the Saints (1-0) will look to continue their winning ways when they host Dallas (1-0) at Independence Stadium in Shreveport. The Dallas Cowboys will have to do it without Terrell Owens, who will not play Monday night because of his hamstring injury.

This would be the Saints' first MNF road appearance, and last until 1989 when New Orleans played at San Francisco. The last time the Saints played prime time and faced off with the Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys destroyed New Orleans 40-3 at Texas Stadium. Now some Sports bettor's are saying that the Saints are so pitiful they deserve to get beat every time they play. Will this be the case in this 2006 NFL season or will they keep the winning streak and beat the Cowboys at Independence Stadium, Shreveport. Dallas vs. New Orleans live odds
